On July 1st 2000, GREAT LAKES INTERNATIONAL GANG INVESTIGATORS COALITION (GLIGIC) 
was formed.  The COALITION is formed from a variety of Federal and State law enforcement
officers, corrections officers, probation and parole agents and specialized
investigators throughout Canada, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana,
Minnesota, New York, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
     GLIGIC is a non-profit, tax-exempt, international
educator's/investigators organization. 
     GLIGIC brings international borders closer together to promote  the
exchange and rapid dissemination of gang intelligence, within the criminal
justice community. 
     GLIGIC conducts monthly intelligence networking meetings; bi-annual
training seminars and an annual conferences will be held in the fall of each
year. 
     GLIGIC solicits support from all criminal justice agencies and
conducts prevention and intervention programs to the citizens of their
communities. 
     GLIGIC publishes an electronic newsletter and a special bulletin
board for sharing intelligence from each region, officer safety issues, and
information on all organized crime groups.
