Happy Healthy and a Safe New Year Wishes From the Wisconsin Chapter Board Of the Great Lakes International Gang Investigators Coalition
We would like to update our members on the events that took place during our first year. We held the First Annual International Conference at the Milwaukee Hilton. The Governor supported this conference. He sent a proclamation in support of the work done by GLIGIC. Attorney General James Doyle supported and attended the conference giving opening remarks. The Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of Probation and Parole attended as well as the City of Milwaukee Chief of Police, Arthur Jones and representatives of the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.
We adopted the measure of Board Members at Large for additional input on the decision making process of the Wisconsin Chapter Board. We have sent out our first newsletter to the Wisconsin chapter members as well as every law enforcement office in the State of Wisconsin. Please contact/email Kelli Allemand our state and national newsletter coordinator with any information you want in the newsletter. We have made a donation of $500.00 on behalf of the Wisconsin chapter members to the New York City Police Departments Orphan Fund and we have also made donations of $450.00 to three different food pantries in the state on behalf of the membership.
The GLIGIC web site has current Wisconsin information on it as well as other updated current information. Information on the web site gets updated weekly. There will be GLIGIC apparel for sale on the web site soon. Quality merchandise for sale at reasonable prices. We are also in the process of forming a community advisory board for the GLIGIC Wisconsin Chapter.
Please register early for the March 11th conference in Madison. This will be a very informative and productive conference. We have a lot of nice donations to give away at this conference. We expect this conference to be sold out. Registering early guarantees your spot at this conference. Members comment and concerns are always welcome.
Remember you can't stop good people from doing good things!
Stay Safe!
